Poets' Corner Pit Stop: An E17 Arts Trail Venue 1st-16th June 2019
During the two weeks of the E17 Arts Trail this June (1st-16th) The Others’ Open House will be a place to gather for singing, food, games and conversation as we open our home in the spirit of Welcome that gives Walthamstow its name.
Walthamstow is listed as ‘Wilcumstowe’, meaning a place of welcome, in the Domesday book, and during this year as Borough of Culture we want to extend the welcome to our neighbours, friends and other visitors.
We will be displaying the ‘Wilcumstowe Map’ by Giada Biagiotti and hosting various events listed in the Programme of events and described below. If you want to be involved and help us run the space please email [email protected] Performers who would like to book a spot for the open mic/cabaret please email; likewise if you have an idea for an event you’d like to host please get in touch and we can add to the programme. Event Descriptions:

All are welcome and if you can’t bring ingredients or a dish please join us anyway. We feel strongly that no-one should go hungry and gratefully accept donations for Eat or Heat (our local foodbank). For more information click on links or talk to me directly about my experience of working with and growing food and volunteering in London and Calais.

Our aim is to make space and time to confront the reality of death and help people make the most of their (finite) lives.
